AAF Recognizes Cynthia De La Torre as Mosaic Champion
PMG is a global independent digital company that seeks to inspire people and brands that anything is possible. Driven by shared success, PMG uses business strategy and transformation, creative, media, and insights, along with our proprietary marketing intelligence platform Alli, to deliver Digital Made for Humans™. With offices in New York, London, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Atlanta, and Cleveland, our team is made up of over 900+ employees globally, and our work for brands like Apple, Nike, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, Gap Inc., Kohler, Momentive, Sephora, and Shake Shack has received top industry recognitions including Cannes Lions and Adweek Media Plan of the Year.
PMG’s Cynthia De La Torre (they/them) was among those celebrated as 2024 Mosaic Champions during last week’s 2024 Advent10n Conference in Dallas, Texas. The Mosaic Awards program, facilitated by the 10th District of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), recognizes individuals, companies, and agencies in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas for their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
At PMG, Cynthia serves as Associate Creative Director, but their leadership extends beyond the creative team. An influential and active leader who champions a culture of belonging, inclusion, and diversity (CBID), Cynthia leads the company’s CBID Steering Committee to advocate for change and usher in a new era of progress for the company's culture and operations and working to hold PMG accountable to its commitments.
Cynthia’s role as the CBID Lead is a progression of the work they have done over their seven-year tenure at PMG. They helped launch eight employee resource groups (ERGs) serving different PMG communities, including women, BIPOC, LBGTQIA+, working parents, international faith and culture, mental health, young professionals, and more. They have also been instrumental in the success of PMG’s monthly speaker series that brings in inspiring individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries (e.g., Dr. Marcus Collins, The 19th’s Emily Ramshaw, disability advocate Spencer West, Terence Lester of Love Beyond Walls, and Group Black’s Cavel Khan) to spark meaningful conversations that celebrate diverse people, voices, perspectives, and experiences.
Their activism and advocacy go beyond PMG’s proverbial walls and illustrate the company’s encouragement of its team members to make an impact in their communities. Cynthia is also active with Dallas-Fort Worth’s queer community. In 2022, they supported the Trinity Pride Fest in the role of Creative Director.
